The EVQ5816-L-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the performance of the MPQ5816-AEC1, a 42V, 9A integrated smart diode with reverse protection. 

The device’s 2µA standby current (I_STBY) makes it ideal for battery-powered applications. The MPQ5816-AEC1 integrates a 10mΩ N-channel MOSFET and an internal charge pump, which supports nominal loads up to 9A of continuous current and minimizes power loss between the input and output. The ultra-fast transient response allows the part to rectify AC frequencies up to 100kHz.  

In addition to reverse polarity protection and reverse pulse protection, the MPQ5816-AEC1 also provides multiple diagnostics for faults such as under-voltage protection (UVP), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

With an extremely low under-voltage lockdown (UVLO) threshold, the device provides a wide operating voltage range to meet the harsh start-up conditions defined in the ISO 16750 standard. The device also supports cold crank voltages down to 0V.

The MPQ5816-AEC1 is available in a QFN-21 (3mmx4mm) package, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
