The EVQ9841A-L-00A evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ9841A-AEC1. It offers a very compact solution that achieves up to 1A of continuous output current (IOUT), with excellent load and line regulation across a wide 3.3V to 36V input supply voltage (VIN) range. The switching frequency (fSW) can be configured or synchronized to an external clock in the range of 350kHz to 2.5MHz.
Synchronous operation and an ultra-low, 14μA sleep-mode quiescent current (IQ) provide high efficiency across the entire IOUT load range, allowing the MPQ9841A-AEC1 to be used in a variety of step-down applications in both automotive input environments and battery-powered applications.
Peak current mode control provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Excellent low-dropout (LDO) performance allows the MPQ9841A-AEC1 to be used in high duty cycle applications.
Full protection features include over-current protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and thermal shutdown. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the output voltage (VOUT) is within 10% of its nominal voltage.
The EVQ9841A-L-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. It generates a 5V VOUT at load currents up to 1A across a 6V to 36V VIN range, with a 475kHz fSW. The MPQ9841A-AEC1 is available in a QFN-16 (3mmx4mm) package with wettable flanks, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
