In this presentation, some popular transient mitigation techniques like Z-Axis Power Delivery (ZPD^TM) network and trans-inductor voltage regulator (TLVR) are explored analytically and via simulation, evidencing the transient performance advantages, disadvantages, knobs, and bottlenecks of these techniques with the hope that the reader gains some basic knowledge to determine the shape of the next design.
