The EVQ6590A-L-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ6590A-AEC1, a high-side N-channel power MOSFET gate driver. It is suitable for battery power tools and automotive high-side switches. 

The MPQ6590A-AEC1 operates across a 7.5V to 80V input voltage (V_IN) range. It can generate a gate drive voltage that exceeds the input supply to drive an N-channel gate. The device can source and sink 1A of current to quickly enable and disable large power MOSFETs. The MPQ6590A-AEC1 has an output tolerance of -70V, which allows an external MOSFET to avalanche without the need for an additional protection diode. 

The MPQ6590A-AEC1’s internal safety features include over-current protection (OCP), under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown. 

The MPQ6590A-AEC1 is available in a QFN-11 (3mmx4mm) package with wettable flanks, and it is AEC-Q100 qualified. It is recommended to read the MPQ6590A-AEC1 datasheet prior to making any changes to the EVQ6590A-L-00A.
