There is an unprecedented amount of development in electrifying transportation. One of the biggest challenges for automakers to overcome is range anxiety from consumers, as batteries are a big limitation. The challenge for automakers currently is squeezing out the maximum range possible from a given battery capacity while also trying to minimize the charge time for the battery. This is possible by maximizing the efficiency of various power electronics systems, while operating at a higher battery voltage allows for higher efficiency while charging the battery packs.
