Battery packs with two series cells are chosen for applications with higher peak discharge power than 1s systems and typically contain a motor, audio amp, or large display. Common applications include notebook computers, wireless speakers, mobile point of sale systems, DSLR cameras, and USB PD power banks. MPS offers several different charger topologies for 2s applications depending on the input power source type and max charging current needed. For < 15W applications utilizing a USB-C connector, we offer boost chargers with advanced features such as cell-balancing and power path. For higher power USB Power Delivery applications, we have buck-boost chargers with fully-integrated FETs capable of delivering up to 6A of charge current. For applications which have a fixed power supply voltage such as industrial equipment, we offer high-voltage buck chargers up to 40V.
