The MPQ8791 is a fully integrated, PMBus-compatible, high-frequency, synchronous buck converter. It offers a very compact solution that achieves up to 10A of output current (IOUT), with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply voltage (VIN) range. The device operates at high efficiency across a wide IOUT load range.
The PMBus interface provides converter configurations and key parameter monitoring.
The MPQ8791 adopts MPS’s proprietary digital constant-on-time (COT) control, which provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Fully integrated protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).
The MPQ8791 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in a TLGA-40 (5mmx7mm) package.
